Demo
I bought the demo today from GAME for
£5. Well worth it. Anyway as soon as I got home I put it in
the PS2. I came up on the Start menu went to the main menu where
you could only pick Exhibition. In Exhibition you can only pick
single and tag matches.
I decided to go for an exhibition. You have the choice of Kane,
Undertaker, HHH, Stone Cold, The Rock and Kurt Angle. I picked Kane
and went against HHH. As I waited for the loading time which never
happened I then came straight into the match (No entrances) I got
straight into the action to find that the gameply slower than the
previous Smackdown's, but thats not a bad thing thats a good thing
as it means the game is more realistic than the others. After beating
HHH for a minute or 2 I decided to take him out of the ring for
a little look around.
I went to the announce tables which also wernt there. Also Michael
Cole and Tazz dont commentate in the demo. Next thing I did was
ran into the barracade by accident and found myself fighting in
the crowd, which in my opinion is brilliant. After giving HHH a
Chokeslam in the crowd which looked amazing. I got back in the ring
to and let HHH give me a Pedigree. After this I actually stayed
down
When I got back up I took HHH up to the staging area which is now
part of the ring area so no loading times. The area up here is huge
it goes right across the screen. At either age I thinks theres an
entrance to the backstage areas. I then went back to the ring and
gave HHH a Powerbomb Pin to win the match. The outros are the same
as Smackdown 2.
I then went back and had a Tag Match with Stone Cold and Kurt Angle
vs The Brothers Of Destruction. Basically its all the same as single
crowd fighting going to the stage area. I then got a duble team
done on me which I believe is done by pressing R1 when in a grapple.
Yes there are grapples. Also to do your first finisher is still
L1 and second id and direction and L1. If your the illegal man you
can also get into the ring and distract the ref. That's all I can
say about Tag Team really as it's practically the same as Single
but with more people. I also had a great moment when me (Kane) and
my cousin (Undertaker) did the Chokeslam and Last Ride at the same
time which looked brilliant.
The bugs that i've noticed so far are that you land twice if you
jump off the top rope. If you pull someone out of the ring they
get strung on the ropes then appear out of the ring. That's it I
think pretty good really.
